For my birthday I wanted to get an 8th scale electric RC buggy. I did some research and came down to 2 models I liked, the Serpent Cobra 811BE and the Team Durango DEX408. (continue reading…)
Christie just started her third trimester. We went to the doctors office today for a normal checkup and everything looks good. I finally finished painting the baby room and now we just have to buy things for it.
We decided that since this is our first year in our beautiful brand new house that we should host thanksgiving this year. (continue reading…)
The good news is Christie is Pregnant. Our first ultra sound was really amazing, i didnt realize how just hearing the baby’s heart beat for the first time would affect me but wow there is nothing like it. (continue reading…)
Jeff, Wesley and his date, Charles, Crystal, Skylar, and I went to the Renaissance Festival this weekend. Christie was going to go but in her current condition she wasn’t up for walking around all day. We had a great time, I had a few beers and mead and was tipsy pretty much the whole day. There are pictures of the festivities in the photo gallery, take a look at some of the outrageous costumes.
Christie got some free tickets for us to go to Wings Over Houston. She had to drive the bus there and ended up having to chaperon some kids. It was really hot and there was alot of walking involved. It was a fun day however I doubt i would go again with the school field trip. There are some cool pics in the photo gallery of some pf the planes, there is even some really cool shots of a “Near” super sonic fly by of an F-18.
The closing went pretty smoothly and went really well. we signed a bunch of papers and now we own a house. We moved most of our stuff in this past weekend. The house is starting to feel more an more like home. We went out Sunday and bought a bunch of stuff for the house, who knew buying a home would be so expensive. We bought 3 fans (bedroom, living room, and porch), a bad ass Grill (stainless steel char-broil), String Trimmer (decided to go with a 4-cycle so I don’t have to worry about mixing fuel), blinds for the windows on the rear doors, some sprinklers and hoses, I even bought a few L.E.D. light bulbs to try out. All and all it was a good weekend. Even Leo had a good time, he was very excited about having his very own backyard that he can run around and play in.
Well after almost 5 months of waiting our house will finally be finished and we will be closing tomorrow. I have been soooooo excited that I barely slept all week. There are some new pics in the gallery of the house being finished.
